400 Local Youth Participated in a Free Clinic at Cowboys Stadium

The AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic, in conjunction with NCAA Football, hosted 400 local youth (ages 7-14) for a free clinic on Tuesday at Cowboys Stadium.

As part of the NCAA Football Youth Day, the kids heard from featured speakers Brad Sham, long-time radio voice of the Dallas Cowboys and AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic, and Russell Maryland, former University of Miami and Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle and AT&T Cotton Bowl Hall of Famer. Local college and high school football coaches, including coaches from  TCU, Midwestern State, Tarleton State and Howard Payne organized drills and activities for the participants.

“We couldn’t be more pleased with the turnout at this year’s clinic,” Rick Baker, President/CEO of the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic said. “We love to see so many kids get an opportunity to play at our home here at Cowboys Stadium, the finest football facility in the world.”

In an effort to inspire young athletes, the NCAA Football youth initiative program provides clinic participants the opportunity to cultivate leadership and athletic skills through free clinics offered by  bowls across the country. This is the third year the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic has hosted this clinic.
