COWBOYS CLOSE OUT '09 WITH FINAL PRACTICE

The No. 21 Oklahoma State Cowboys (9-3, 6-2 Big 12) concluded preparing for the 74th AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic with a two-hour practice in pads and shorts at new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. OSU will face Ole Miss in the Classic on Saturday, Jan. 2.

The final whistle blew, the piped in audio of crowd noise ceased and the team assembled in a circle at the 50 yard-line signaling the end of the OSU’s fifth and final practice of bowl week.

“It was a good practice, but the last practice of the year is always filled with mixed emotions”, said Head Coach Mike Gundy, after relaying to his team his thoughts on practice as well as the agenda for tonight. “It’s not just our last practice preparing for the Bowl, but it’s the final full practice of the year for our seniors. When you think about it, we started 5 months ago with our first practice and now all of it ends today.”

Next up for OSU will be a closed to the media walk through from 3:00 p.m.-4:50 p.m.

The 74th AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic will kick off at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. For the 12th consecutive year, the Classic will be televised on FOX Sports with the legendary Pat Summerall (play-by-play), former Dallas Cowboy Daryl Johnston (analyst) and Krista Voda (sidelines) handling the broadcasting duties. For the 17th consecutive year, the Classic will be carried on the Westwood One Radio Network with Brad Sham (play-by-play) and Terry Donahue (analyst) at the microphones.
